Calling All Prairie Artists: Join Our Collaboration Program
Saskatchewan’s skies stretch forever. Our rivers, valleys and rolling dunes have inspired art for generations. As we launch Sask Proud Clothing, we’re inviting local artists to help us paint those stories on bunnyhugs, tees, mugs and more.
We are all Treaty people. Our collaboration program is open to artists from every community and Nation in the province. We’ll licence your work with respect, credit your name and Nation, and share the profits fairly.
What’s in it for you?
• 1/3 Profit Share – After costs, net profits are split evenly: one‑third to you, one‑third reinvested in marketing, and one‑third to cover printing and fulfilment. It’s more generous than typical artist royalties .
• No Up‑Front Cost – You provide the art; we handle production, shipping and customer service. Your bunnyhug stays warm while we do the heavy lifting.
• Non‑Exclusive Rights – You keep ownership. Our licence is non‑exclusive and time‑limited (usually two years with easy renewal) .
• Exposure & Community – We’ll promote your work across Saskatchewan and beyond. Your designs will live in wardrobes from La Ronge to Leader, Qu’Appelle to Cypress Hills.
How the program works
- Send Us Your Art – Use the form at the bottom of this page to upload sketches, finished pieces or a portfolio link. High‑resolution files and clear notes help us imagine your work on fabric and ceramic.
- Review & Selection – A small committee of Sask Proud folk and guest artists looks at submissions. We choose designs that honour place, season and spirit.
- Sign the Agreement – We provide a plain‑English licence that grants us rights to reproduce your art on specific products. It includes an indemnification clause (you promise the art is yours and free of other claims ) and clear payment terms.
- Production & Promotion – Once the ink’s dry, we prep your design for Printful and roll out marketing. You’ll get progress updates and a sample to admire.
- Get Paid & Stay Connected – Every quarter, you’ll receive a statement and your share of profits. We’ll chat about what’s working and dream up the next prairie project.
Ready to create together?
If you’ve ever sketched the aurora over Waskesiu, painted wheat swaying near Val Marie or doodled pickerel jumping on the North Saskatchewan, we want to see it. Tell us your story, upload your art, and let’s put Saskatchewan’s creativity on display.
